The business has indicated that it would be investing something in the neighbourhood of Rs 500 crore in the entirety of the project, with the first phase having a capacity of 350 beds. It is anticipated that the first phase would be operational by the beginning of FY26.
This will be the company’s 16th hospital overall in India and its seventh in the state of Kerala.
According to the company, this super-specialty facility will house several centres for clinical excellence that will cater to the functions of cardiac sciences, organ transplant, neurosciences, orthopaedics, oncology, urology & nephrology, gastro sciences, and woman & child wellness. These are just some of the specialties that will be covered by these centres.
The hospital will have an outpatient department, an inpatient department, an intensive care unit with high dependency units, a neonatal intensive care unit, a paediatric intensive care unit, a transplant intensive care unit, day care support, and emergency and trauma response services 24 hours a day. The corporation stated that the implementation of robotics and other systems of a new generation will occur in stages.
